Default Classic wagon with leaking boot.

Hi there! I know simular threads have been posted before about this problem but i still cannot solve the problem!

I have checked the rear clusters even drilled holes in the boot but the water seems to land on top of the boot carpet as if i left the boot open and let it rain directly in my boot. so as the water is sat ontop the carpet, i would guess it has to be coming in from the top . Hopefully one of you lot can tell me where from though!

sounds like the rain seal may have perished....
(rubber that surrounds the tailgate when closed)

Remove rubber boot seal across top. Rub non setting mastic, such as sold by caravan dealers along the metal lip. Seat rubber seal in mastic.

Check condition of seal for nicks, tears, cuts etc before doing this.
