Default Weird experience

going to work this morning (i start at 5.30) and i go on a dead straight peace of road in the country which you can see down for a good couple of miles .
anyway i give it some boot and in 4th gear i get the turbo cut off at around 4500rvs and engine light comes on so i ease off.
get to work and i do as the manual sez and start it 4 times code clears so i leave it at that.
coming home the car is alive it's like someone as given it a trasnsplant and you can't hold it back .
earlier in the week i fitted a afterburner vortex exhaust but since i gave it a bit of a thrashing it does seem to have changed, does the ecu update itself or am i just imagining it .
it's an my03 ppp

Hmmm, could be the ecu a little confuddled and sorting itself out with the exhaust. Dunno how sensitive they are.
Any other symptoms?
For it to drop into limp mode it must be more than something like a fault sensor.
