Till someone breaks in for your keys and takes the steering wheel aswell. A minor inconvenience if they really want your car!

I fitted this removable kit to the Elise just to improve the security a little.

What happens when they break in and offer to kneecap you unless you provide them with the keys????
I would rather let them find the keys downstairs and take the car if in meant i would avoid confrontation with someone who is tooled up!!!!!

Might as well leave the keys in the ignition, then.

You know what i'm saying. If you keep your keys in your bedside draw and some thug breaks in looking for your keys and decides to use your head as target practice with a hammer so you can't identify them then i'm damn sure you would regret not leaving them downstairs. In todays climate, breaking in for keys is common is it not?

if and its a big if ,a burgler gets passed the alarm into the house ,and then my staffordshire, and managed to get into my bedroom to kneecap me without me hearing him then id also help him load the car , that is unless i manage to get the gun out of the safe and loaded before he susses the steering wheel and cat 1 alarm .......we can play this game all night the kind of people who steal cars with the keys are hardened criminals and ill deal with them if they manage to get in,the kind im trying to stop smahing the window because there too stupid to realise the flashing red light means its got a cat 1 alarm ,will see there is no sterring wheel think its a magic space ship and run away all scared .....and i still think its a great mod

It is a great mod - i had one years ago on my 205, which for the record had two red flashing lights and no cat 1 alarm
Like you say, the annoying thing with them is the fact you are a couple of inch further away from the indicator stalks.
I used to keep my keys in my bedroom but now tend to leave them down stairs. I guess it's because my car is probably only worth £3k at best, so if they want it, it ain't no big loss to me
