IM LOOKING AT BUYING A SCOOBY IVE BEEN OFFERED A 1994 TURBO SPORTS WAGON WITH FULL SUBARU SERVICE HISTORY AND LOADS OF HISTORY SEEMS TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION ONLY THING PUTTING ME OFF ITS DONE 97000 MILES IS THIS ANYTHING TO BE BOTHERED ABOUT OR IS IT WORTH A GO.

97,000 miles is not high mileage for a 13 year old car. If properly maintained etc, there's no reason the car can't keep going past 150,000 miles. There's a chance it will break something expensive, but you're better chances of reliability with a scoob of that age/mileage than many other cars. Things breaking is always a possibility with any car of that age, regardless of mileage or model. Just don't expect great fuel consumption, low insurance costs, low running costs etc - the car may be fairly cheap to buy, but it will still cost a lot more to run than a Micra or whatever!

I know the runnig cost will go up im using a celica at the moment so i know what to expect and a know a quicker means more expense i use the car everyday for work doing 40 miles a day,would be right in looking at about 25 to the gallon or would it be less,im not to heavy on the pedal.

25 to the gallon is probably do-able if you drive gently on the commute. I get somewhere around that on my scoob on a 7 mile commute (admittedly mine is a 2002WRX, tuned a bit)
