The whole thing about it is it is to be road going cars only now you tell me that the RCM car and Af car is road going no way everyone else does not stand a chance of winning as long as they are running.that is why they have the TOTB so they should not run in the shootout. It is nice to see the cars but come on as if anyone would have a chance let alone pockets deep enough to build what they have.

Certainly makes sense for him to 'advertise' this way - gets my attention anyhow, which is why I'll be seeing him in a fortnight for my 5th AndyF Map !

I'm pretty sure that Andy funds it himself - with a bit of help from his customers ( ). Seems reasonable to me - I pay for my car, he pays for his - I 'waste' my money on other toys, he maybe doesn't - he puts considerably more effort into it than me too !

Thanks for the comments guys (and girls)
Regards the cost of my car, currently I'd value it somewhere around the price of a new Sti with a few mods that would take it to say 400bhp.
There seems to be quite a few people around that have pockets that deep.
The difference is that I choose to put up with the compromise of a noisy, thirsty and uncomfortable car in order to prioritise performance.
I agree thats its not what most would consider to be a daily driver type of car but it is fully road legal and a fair bit more practical than a superbike for example.
cheers

Which is exactly why the SSO is bracketed, allowing ALL cars to compete, and win prizes.
Otherwise you have exactly the same problem, with totally standard cars competing against modified ones.

No question Norris Designs Evo is an awesome bit of kit but Andy's is built on a fraction of the cost and still has the edge. I wouldn't be suprised if Andy cracks the 8's.
