Default Anyone imported their own car from Euro?

Just wondering.
Just been in touch with Antonio in Malta, the current retail price is £12,500, plus the usual VAT etc.

However it means I can pick the exact spec of my car, be the first keeper etc.

Inc VAT the car is £14,698, plus a couple of other fees, such as transport insurance, UK registration and road fund.
Im assuming being a Euro car an SVA would not be required.

There is also a port collection fee, again, no idea how much this is.

If anyone can answer any of the above with anything other than "buy from Litchfields/ Motorpoint" then please fire away.
Its just an option at the mo, but a very interesting one indeed.
