Death of the Scooby Wave
The Scooby Wave has died!
I've decided to give up myself after at least 50 fruitless waves in a row. I'm fed up of looking like a sad muppet.
I think when everybody had a classic they all waved. Then bugs stopped waving at classics, blobs stopped waving at bugs and hawks stopped waving at blobs and everyone stopped waving at chavs!
Oh well, I might start waving at buses instead

I know how you feel mate
I wave at all scoobs i see, but i say the return rate is about 50%, maximum.
Worst people of all, or owners (and i am sorry for generalising) are P1 owners. I regularly see two, one on my way to work, one round where i live, neither wave, neither even acknowledge me, and i know they have seen me.
I tend to get most of my waves back from Classics.

I got a few waves in Rotherham the other day but none anywhere else.
I wave first and if they don't wave back then I turn my wave into tapping on the steering wheel so it looks like i'm listening to something on the stereo, I find that less demoralising and get less 'what are you doing you ****' stares from other drivers this way

I wave at any cars I particularly approve of,
Scoobys, evos skylines, old fords, clssic cars,
I don't care what I look like.
I would rather wave and get no wave in return instead of being waved at and not waving back. It all makes the world just that little less unfriendly

I've only ever had awave off an old boy in a face lift classic and there's a few various models around here too. When i brought my classic i payed around 8 1/2 k for it so it wasn't "cheap" (and i'm not a "chav" ) by any means and that was purchased completley standard (although that was a few years ago now) but i still have her as it was IMHO the classic that made the impreza and the model i love. I think some of it is snobbery, and im almost at the point of not waving anymore so as to not look a muppet either.
Wave, dont wave, i'm past caring.

Im from Harrogate and had three waves yesturday and one today, all from different subaru's. Its not dead, its because newbies like me are/wern't aware that subaru drivers wave to each other,so once you start waving your always on the lookout for subaru's
