Its a TD04.

Limits bhp to normally 270-280bhp. When mine was remapped it made 273bhp.

If you upgrade the turbo for something like a TD05 or VF23/4/8/34/35 then you will also need an upgraded fuel pump at least. Maybe also bigger injectors (you currently have 440s), and a fuel pressure reg.

One of these turbos should be good for 320-330bhp.

If you upgrade turbo i would recomend the MD321H from the clinic that is a brill piece of kit will give you 400bhp or you can have it mapped at 350bhp/340lbs ft spools like a td05 all the way to limiter will need a better fuel pump though but with your car being standard this may be to much power for internals. but anyway mega turbo , ive got one on my classic, loud spool up, and nice wastegate chatter

Give David at API a ring and ask him about the stage two upgrade. Tell him NS04 says hi!

Briefly, you'd want: decat/sports cat system, uprated fuel pump, better turbo hoses, ported and wrapped headers are advisable, 3 port solenoid, bigger turbo e.g. VF35 (of course!) and a really good remap.

My My99 produces 319bhp and 316ft lbs with the above mods.

Makes for a VERY quick, usable car.

Looking at Ns04s list above - a lot!

I would guesstimate at least £1.5-2k?

I will have a Turbo Dynamics MD304 VF22 hybrid for sale shortly.

Excellent upgrade turbo, capable of 320-350bhp with supporting mods.

Do a search on here - very capable turbo.
