Flat battery, can't disarm alarm, will this work?
My scoob has been stood unstarted for some time. Came to start it today and I can't disarm the alarm using the remote fob I suspect the car battery has gone flat.
Enter the car with the key, disarm using the override code and charge battery I hear you say. Problem is, I don't have the override code
So.. if I entered the car using the key, popped the bonnet and hooked the battery up to my wifes car via jump leads, would I be able to disarm with the fob and start?
I am aware the alarm will be wailing thoughout this process but I only need do it once as when started, I'll take her for a blast to charge the battery.

Still being partially deaf from attempting this sort of thing.....
If the battery's that dead, the alarm won't go off if you open the car, pop the bonnet etc..
When you connect the jump leads, it'll arm. (Check the indicators etc). It won't go off immediately as it's got about 5 seconds of settle time.
Disarm the alarm at the first opportunity. Stand back from the car when doing this as it's F! loud if your head is under the bonnet with it.
Then just start the car. Assuming you do so in 30 seconds or whatever, before the imobiliser sets.

It worked!
Alarm didn't even sound when I unlocked the door or popped the bonnet
As Vindaloo said, I predicted the siren to blow my head off at such close quarters so I placed a blanket over it to muffle the blast somewhat
Connected jump leads(alarm sounded briefly), disarmed and started!
Sorted
