Smile SCOOBY TRIP TO NURBURGRING

Anyone fancy a trip to the ring sometime in August?

I've never been but want to make the trip and thought it would be good to get a group together to go there.

Anyone who has been any recommendations or advice would be appreciated.

If your interested in this get posting, I think the most expensive thing will be fuel as hotel, food etc there is cheap.

Cheers

get on :: northloop.co.uk :: we're not playing games :: nurburgring galleries and more ::

A wealth of info there as awell as groups going all the time.

I am over at the ring 8th Sept again.

Depends on how long you are going for but budget for £600 - £800 for a long weekend - lots lots more if you crash .... so take it really easy. It takes lots of laps to even get to know the track let alone be quick round there.

ouch ... 24 metres - almost a record then

Its a shame they dont put a plaque there for you when that happens, like a kind of shareholder type scheme

I havent driven the circuit in the rain yet, have been there twice now and glorious sunshine for all 8 days across sept and april ... whats the chances of that?

24 meters!! wow wee! i bet that wasnt cheap!

I have been twice, third time in abour 3 weeks, with a big group, and luckily so far we have only had 1 spin, which just cost the sweeping of the track as dirt flew onto it.

Tho that still cost 128 euro's!!

i wouldnt want to go round it to soon again in the wet and before any SMACS members come on here and say it, i muttered the immortal words before i went out "im going round sideways"

they wouldnt need armco then!!!! the edge of the track would be made up of loads of little plaque's

cool.

We got most of our group at a big mansion, not too sure on name etc, but most people seem to know it.

And the few of our group that couldnt get in are at Sliders.
