just got off the phone with Prodrive.. looks like you will be able to buy the RB320 suspension (dampers, springs etc) seperately in about a months time!.. he said it will probably be about £1,100...

I have the tein flex really good. comfortable on softest setting and even better I have the edfc see here TEIN EDFC which allows me to adjust the suspension from soft to race in under 3 seconds from inside the car or any variation in between.

I had AST's on my WRX and they were nothing short of awesome. Used to adjust them almost daily to suit my needs. Soft for 'round town (1-2), low-mid for wet road runs (4), mid for dry road (6) and 8-12 for track (anything above 9 is for smooth flowing tracks otherwise they were twitchy). Stunning composure and supreme control meaning with just 265PS I used to see off cars with 350+ At that price I'd certainly have them again, but the Teins do look tempting too

I was famous for it As well as the suspension (cheers Si ) I got a genuine STi spoiler from a mate who wanter a carbon wing (cheers Al ) and so needed a WRX bootlid, just had mine blown over for 100 to make sure it was perfect on his new car. I had STi wheels with RE070 tyres which cost me 400, but I bought 3 sets and sold 2 on on here for 550 apiece, making mine 100. Secondhand ARB, free Prodrive mudflaps (cheers Hawk ), 2nd hand lower mesh grille (cheers Steve )
Did it all on the cheap Now I'm even cheaper driving a 63mpg diesel, but I still frightened the Scoobs at my last trackday

What about the springs on their own ??
I've got my STi booked in to have the Prodrive springs fitted but after seeing the RB320 in the flesh,i like the front being lowered more than the back.

The springs and dampers are designed to be fitted together and the springs on their own won't fit with the OE dampers.
Our STi spring kit is as low as you can go without it sitting permanently on the bumpstops anyway.

For £1200 I wouldn't look at anything other than ASTs. I had all singing, all dancing CUSCO coilovers on my old RA, but had I kept the car, they would've been replaced with ASTs. Absolutely no question.

It's not so much that i want it to sit lower,it's more i like the look of the RB320 with it sitting 10mm lower at the rear and 30mm lower at the front IIRC.It gives it a more purposeful stance.
Do the Prodrive STi springs (MY07) come with bump stops ?
Cheers

Our STi spring kit does come with new front bumpstops.
Changing the dampers has allowed us to get a small amount more bump travel but you can't get this low, even with our bumpstops on a std damper without it having too little travel. If you get that low the handling of the car gets quite scary. The front of the car sits on the front bumpstop as you turn in giving understeer as the outside front tyre gets overloaded. As you open the throttle the front of the car comes up and the grip returns so it changes to oversteer very quickly if you're not careful.
