Changing Alarm LED colour
Hi,
Has anyone changed their flashing red LED for their alarm to a different colour, like blue for example.
I have a 03WRX that I am fitting a guage pod to and want to change the LED to a blue on, have brought one from RS and wired as per instruction making sure the cathode was the long leg and the black/white wire from alarm is positive, but it did not flash. When soldering I used a pair of pliers to stop heat travelling up the leg and damaging the LED.
Any help would be appriciated.

Are you sure you got a blue LED with the same current requirement as the red one.
This may help..

Thanks for the reply guys, it doesn't state voltage in RS so this is probably why it doesn't work.
These are standard LEDs, not flashing ones surely, as the alarm, when sets illuminates the LED for a certain amount of time, then it flashes.
