Default BRAKEPADS

Now dont laugh, im new to all this car stuff ,r pads easy to change? i remamber doing some on on my moms car years ago and i had to bleed the brakes and all that stuff,do i have to do the same with pads or do they just fit straight in? and can u tell by looking through yr alloys if they r worn or not? like i said dont laugh

all depends on what car you have to how easy they are.

a bugeye,so they dont just fit where the others came out?

Jack up, wheel off, lid off fluid res, wire clip off, pins out and spring plate off, push piston back using old pad and some adjustable pliers, lift out old pad, copper slip new pad back and insert along with anti-squeal shim, copper slip pins and insert along with spring clip, refit wire clip, wheel on, jack down. Do other side then put lid back on res. Start up and pump pedal a couple of times to seat the new pads, take for a gentle test to make sure.

Half an hour max

Add: clean dust out of caliper (when pads out) with old toothbrush. Torque wheelnuts to 65 ft-lb.
