i coulnt get insurance with out it?? (uk impreza)
i dont think they come as standard on new impreza.....
test drove one on saturday and that didnt have it on....

yup, owner should have a certificate of instalation. if not, as already said, a call to trackstar should confirm the fitting.
sometimes a bit of a headache getting your name on the ownership, god knows why. i've never had to try so hard to give someone money in all my life!!
great on the phone, but bloody awful at sending out subscription forms

Had nothing but problems with mine,bought my first scooby in feb already had a rac tracstar fitted. Got all the right paperwork,but when changing details to my name they said they need to do a test to make sure its still activated,they keep telling me the cars about 80miles away from where its actually parked. And there sh*te on the phone.

Hi guys. Just want to agree with the peeps who say that they are a pain in the butt to deal with. Being a new owner of a WR1 and wanting to update names etc, You wouldn't believe how hard it is to a. Ring them.... and b. Give them money !
Rather than go through the automated phone saga, try ringing this number to get you through to reception--ie a human being !! 01234-759000 then you can ASK for customer service.
