Default Whats this classic worth

A friend of mine is selling a late 2000 classic uk spec in mica blue .It was imported from Holland and driven to his place near Manchester and parked in his garage.
It was his intention to sell it at a profit.
Anyway its still sat there and has just 300 miles on the clock YES JUST 300 MILES
Its has been started regulary and looked after.
The car is mint and still smells of new car.It needs to be registered here so i cant tell you plate etc.
I am awaiting exact spec and will post pics in next week.
I cant believe he never got round to selling it (more money than sense)
It will be SVA tested and all fluids etc changed plus anything perrishable will be changed.
What do you think he will get for it and is anyone interested

If he intends to sell it at a profit then he will want over £15k for it as im guessing that he paid over that for it brand new!!!!!

Get some pics of it up, would love to see it!!!!!!

its worth what people are willing to pay. its not that easy to put a price on it. i doubt he will get his 15k back though.

I doubt he will make a profit on it - but I could be wrong ..... E-Bay will quickly tell you its worth I would imagine?

A regular used example would be, what? £5500? FOR A CLASSIC ..... if it's a late 2000 then it could be the pig ugly Bug Eye - that figure would drop to £4500?

So, given its uniqueness ..... £9999? But if its a Bug-Eye I doubt anyone would be interested to be brutally honest (they are considered as the carbuncle of Impreza's) - having an unused one doesn't make it any less ugly!

Well as long as it has a full service history (1 month, 6 month, 1 year, 1.5 year etc etc etc) then probably as pete says, just under 10k, if its not got any service history then its worth about 4k.
The thing is with cars is that once you own it, you may as well use it because letting it sit there (unless its some uber supercar and even then as we saw with the jaguar xj220) it WILL lose value.
Also, take note, its still a 7 year old car, and that means 7 years worth of polution/corrosion, even in a garage.

Erm if it came from Holland I presume its EU, if not actually UK spec.

Is it RHD or LHD, I presume he imported it as a RHD parallel.

To the right person (classic fan who has lots of money) it could be worth about £10-11K, but you need to find the right person! In which case registering it so that person would be the second keeper instead of the first could be a BAD idea!

Personally I'd speak to collectors and specialists first.

To the right person it will be worth big bucks! Get some photos!

Its also a 7 year old car, when its registered it will be a 2000 reg plate and the likes of cambelts, oil, lubricants etc all deteriorate and can cause problems (like the corrosive element of coolant for instance in the radiator and engine), if its not serviced then its not worth that much, mileage makes no difference.

You are OFF topic

You are OUT OF ORDER

You are a Pratt

Why should I answer such a person with anything? Tell you what, you answer me these questions:-

What Impreza do you own?

How old is it?

How long have you owned it?

What job do you do?

How much do you earn?

How old are you?

What did you pay for your car and when?

Is it modified at all?

Do you have a girlfriend?

Have you EVER had a girlfriend?

Are you Gay?

Do you have a Boyfriend?

What sytle of dress do you wear?

What size feet have you got?

Are you Mentally Stable?

Scrub that last one ... I know the answer to that

I'd say hold on to it a bit longer. Ur Quattros with low mileage make reasonable money, but Imprezas are yet to meet that type of classic status. Give it 5 more years and he should at least get his money back......

Difficult to say.
My thoughts are.
If someone bought it now, they would use it and lose alot of money in depreciation if paying anywhere over £10,000 due to the fact the mileage will rise and its uniqueness lost.
Or someone will buy it and store it and bring it out in 8 years or so and then it may be worth a bit more a more as it will then be rarer, but who would do this??
Not a regular guy but a collector.
I do agree that a car really needs to be used to maintain its full health.

I had a Dutch Classic import and it seemed identical to any UK car.

You need to remember that, in January 2000, they were still highly sought after and RRP was what you had to pay to get one.

Waiting lists were common too!!!!

Perhaps you would like to offer evidence for 1 and 2 above?

I will help you -

1. 'As many threads as possible' please post how many threads I actually post on - clue:- it's less than 0.25% .....

2. 71,000 Members - how many, in your words, do I 'pick on' (sounds like primary school!) - clue:- it's again less than 0.25%

I await yor apologies.

It would normally be worth about £5K in a private sale, but seeing as how its been owned by the famous PSL, you should probably adjust that to about £5, and lets face it a classic estate is almost as ugly as a bugeye....
