Default How much would you pay for...?

How much would you pay for a 54 plate Impreza Sti Type Uk PPP with about 15000 miles on it (one owner) in great condition. Its pretty standard, not many mods.

No way - I haven't seen any decent PPP'd 54 UK STI's priced anywhere near that low. With that mileage, I reckon you'd get in the region of £15,000 - £15,500.

Is that in part ex though? You'd expect to be offered considerably less in that case. If you look on autotrader there aren't any decent examples for sale privately for anywhere near that money (or there aren't any within 100 miles of me anyway...)

It's just the pre-panic before the new model... depending on what happens with that will dictate the future prices of our cars. Right now couldn't be a worst time to sell.

Prices for my car vary from £18 to £22k + at the moment. List price is something silly like £16k. People simply don't know what they are worth until the market reacts to the new hatch.

Don't forget that you can get a brand new 2007 WRX for £13,999 now, this has to have an effect on the price of 2nd hand cars.

They are not worth what people sometimes ask .....

Not many cars are worth anything ......

I bought a MX5 5 years ago which is worth more than I paid for it - but, Impreza's do not enjoy that kind of rock solid value.

Mikkel.

Apologies if you've been asked this before. Why buy a Spec D then make it look like a STi

I didn't do the badges and was thinking of debadging it. I'm the second owner. I don't like the WRX spoiler that comes as standard, which is why I have the Prodrive spoiler. I bought the spec D over the standard STI for the better interior, the colour and lack of gold alloys, which I don't like.

no that was cash part ex i coulda got a bit more but i really wanted rid of the financethe price of the 2ltr Sti has fallen through the floor due to subaru lowering the price to sell them off to around 20k as for the new model it can only lower the price even more

The value very much depends on how quickly you want to get rid of it. It's alright saying there are none in the Autotrader for whatever price but it's what they SELL for that matters. Ebay is a far more accurate indicator of what the cars are actually selling for.

I'd put yours at about £13K in a private sale A friend of mine has had an 06 plate STI for sale at £18K for 3 months now with absolutely no interest at all so there's no way yours is worth £15/16K.

Just because theres no interest in it does not mean it's not worth 18k,some cars can take a while to sell. If you have patients then you will get more or less what you want. I have had a MY07 JDM sti up for sale for 3 months and it's just sold at the original asking price.

The glass's guide trade in price is about £12800 with that mileage and spec retail is about £14800.
I would expect to pay around the £14800 for a good example. Retail with a warranty etc...

I think that if the new hatch doesnt manage to keep the loyal fans that the newage and classics should hold and possibly increase value as they are a cult car and will always hold that status. A bit like the RS Cosworths.
The market is always slow coming into summer as people are going on holidays etc.. and not really buying cars.
IMHO
