Got the same problem. Do you spend all that money getting it done then after 6-12 months you're back to where you started. Subaru metallic paint is notoriously soft.

If you approach a top paint mixing company they will be able to get you an exact colour match of the Subaru paint but in a harder, more resilliant form.

Subaru don`t go OTT on the paint as remember weight = less performance so i don`t think they go overboard on that many coats along with it being a lighter mix.

Personally, I'd be willing to lose a few 0.001's for a bonnet that didn't chip when a small leaf hits it..

But then thats just me
