Just picked my car up last night for the first time only been in the country a week so i couldnt help testing the power out on the way home.

Little did i now but when i got into 5th gear the engine will not go past 5 and a half thousand revs to my horror

Is this standard for japanese cars and will a re-map sort it out?

Jap cars are limited to 112 mph/ 180km/h

You can sort this either with a speedo converter 'dongle'

or a re-map.
