I can't help thinking...

Hi There,
I can't help thinking that you boys went along the "Cheap Performance" route and ending up paying more than you expected (Engine Failures etc etc)
The reason I think that you boys went the cheap power route is because you people are scared of owning a Cosworth.
To much car for a lot of people to handle, don't get me wrong I'm not having a go I just think you people would have been better off owning a real performance car and not the buckets you own now.
Cheers
Mitch

Hi Mitch, if you cant read then look again, this is a SUBARU board not an RS board.
The thing is thou, is you can take your 12 yr old shed and dump it in the crusher, you dont even understand do you??
its the low life like you that give owners like us a bad name, and i dont just mean Subaru owners either, i also mean RS owners.
These people have a name, they are called Enthusiasts, something that you dont understand, your calling our cars cheap?? well lets see, the normal owner will add alloys and maybe a back box, just to make their car look better, and i dont just mean Subaru owners, RS owners too, we have this thing called RESPECT for the RS enthusiasts out there for they too will spend thousands if not 10's of thousands of pounds on their car, not just a 'chip' like you probably have done!
If you cannot understand that reasoning then i think you should go and hide, but before you do that i think that you should apologise to ALL the SUBARU AND RS COSWORTH owners who have pride in their cars, unlike you.....
There are also people on here who, given the chance would show you the sort of potential that your car has, something that you would never be able to obtain due to your lack of imagination, just because you can afford to buy a car doesnt mean that you can drive it!!!! i think you should now have your name deleted from this forum and also inform the RS owners of your dispicable behavour as they dont want your type of person in their club either!!!
A Proud Subaru Owner!!!

Tony Burns, since when have Escort Cosworths been around for 12 years, and I reckon my 96 registered Cosworth is just a little over 4 years old.
The reason you boys have to spend thousands of pounds on your motors is because they are weak and in order to ripe the benefits of tuning you need to make em Stronger, unlike the Cosworth engine which is designed to be tuned!
Cheers

Thats fine, thanks for your comments and now off you pop/bang/smoke/etc etc
Cheers, thanks and BYE!
(do any of us post negative comments on the RS owners board? Don't think so, guess we are content with our scoobs, elises, RS200s 22BS, Cossies )

Mitch, Surely your going to tell us next that your 96 RS will stomp most scoobs as well?? I shopped around before buying a STi and am sorry to inform you that it wasnt cheap and you get what you pay for, a quick and attractive car. But your post was designed to promote reaction from us owners, so here goes....Ford's suck!!

Tony Burns, you sad git, I'm talking about road cars not rally cars, stick to the topic in hand mate,
I think my engine has always been in this car and always will, if your refering to the fact that the sameish style engines where in Sierras well then yes your right, just goes to show how strong, and reliable the cosworth engine is!
tut tut ohh Tony

Hey Mitch all because your jealous of Subarus being a better car than your cosworth, well i think i have to agree with you, the impreza is a better car than your cosworth, oh and which car also won the jd power survey again??? well it wasnt a ford was it happened to be a SUBARU if i remember correctly, oh and was that for the 3rd year in a row??? hmmmmm
shame you have mondeo brakes aint it lol!!!
anyway this is getting boring, you still only drive an escort, and it still only has a ford badge on it, and its still 3 groups more to insure than our imprezas and yes its also been proven that the impreza IS a better car, read revs where ford v Subaru, or did u miss that when u put your base ball cap down??? hmmmmm!
oh and Subarus kicked ***, even against the 'tuned' cosworths
now go to bed and stop dreaming mitch

Mitch,
The Escort Cosworth IS a 1980's design, its really a Sierra with an Escort looking bodyshell.
Checkout the new J.C. video they set out to find the fastest Escort Cosworth, this car was put up against a standard Impreza sti. There was nothing to split the cars at the end of the lap due to the Escorts 80's handling.
Oh and the sti was driven by a girl

bring it on sunshine!
Hmmm, dont forget, right pedal is called the throttle, not the accelerator, can be proded in lots of diferent circumstances, including whilst braking you know. Middle pedal, thats what YOU use the most, thats for using the brakes, not just for slowing down you know, it has a multitude of purposes. Left pedal, thats for operating the clutch, something you have to be a little ginger with in an Escort Cossie so you dont bugger the transfer box gears.
Be good to see you on track trying to keep up with most of the scoobies driven by guys on here, would be quite a laugh i think. I certainly would be embarassed for you!
Me, i drive Cossie YBT and BDT (soon, very soon ) powered motors, also scoobie N/A and 2.2 Turbo plus every so often a GroupA escort cossie in the forests, oh, not forgetting the V8 esprit GT car (OK so i only built the bugger ).
Do you here me talking poo about how one is better than the other, errrrmm, nope, because they are all great, sadly the morons behind the wheel of some cossie powered cars let the side down, in the main they are top enthusiasts, your just thick!!

Why they allow internet access in the nuthouse is beyond me coz if this guy is serious, he's gotta be in one.
I actually enjoy these people coming onto the bbs and starting arguments like this, coz they ALWAYS have lame arguments with no evidence to back it up.
He probably thought he dragged off a Subaru one day, but in fact the driver was lost, looking at his map and missed the green light.

I just thought I'd drop into your thread & mention that - documented in a magazine - in a fair contest - Scoobs BEAT Cossies
I know - I was there & my opponent was a similar standard Escort Cossie - I beat him
Nah! Nah!
(PS Don't let Stef see this thread )

Couple of points. You come onto the board make a few daft comments and end it with 'I'm not having a go'...er yes you are. Why else did you post it?
As John F said, they are all great cars and we (all of us Scoobies / Cossies / Evos etc) are lucky to be in position to own them. Do we really need to get into this school playground crap of 'my car's better than yours'?
And are you seriously trying to say that no owner of a Cosworth has not tried to improve their car by tuning and adding after market parts? Don't make me laugh.
Chris

Okay, Did I say my cossie was better than your Scooby, NO all I said was the fact that you boys are afraid of owning a cossie and I also said the Cossie responds well to tuning and is strong enough to cope with it unlike your fragile Scoobies!!!
You people are so up yourselves, Quotes like ' I saw a Scooby Bonnet Vent on a Saxo, Astra, Ford etc etc and laugh so much hehehe' are so sad.
If people wanna use them let them there is no need to be a fcukwit about it!! What happens if people are running say bigger turbos or Throttle bodies etc and need the Extra Air, can you think of a better vent to use?
Cheers
