Get the mapper to fit it just before the re-map

I was thinking of that

Thought it might be taking the pi55 though as he said he could supply one when it's mapped.

Spent £1800 on mods last few days, very tiring!!

Going to fit them next week day or so before re-map.

Still like to know though as like to do the odd few bits myself

Haven't made my mind up about who's doing the mapping?

Your in Swindon aren't you Bob?

Don't fit it until you about to have the re-map. Your engine management is set up for a two port solenoid, hook up a three port without a re-map and the boost control will be all over the show.

They work differently

I think you mean, "All over the shop"

Why do some people have to be so negative and arsey on here,I am merely trying to learn the ways of the scooby from the people that know

If you read the thread i am just asking where the vent inlet pipe is plumbed to,i never made any mention of fitting. Relax,

Yes, Bob's in Swindon, and yes, he'll fit the 3-port before mapping if he does your mapping.

Your problem will be that since he's one of the top guys in the country for mapping, you have to wait some time for an appointment to get it done. Worth the wait though.

The 3 port can be rigged to work as a 2 port until the fateful day.
Just tell the mapper that it is in 2 port mode when you arrive and they should re-arrange the piping.
The vent inlet pipe is on the big black turbo inlet pipe. Your 2 port will alreday be connected to it so just re-use the hose & connection point.

The bottom vent hose goes into his K&N induction kit?
Anyhow going to give Bob a ring and see how long i have to wait

The bottom port can vent to atmosphere but on the O/E system fitted with a three port from the factory it runs back to the air inlet tract.
Some K+N cone filters have a small hole in the back of the largest diameter bit of rubber that goes on to the inlet tract.

Bob is usually booked up 2 months ahead. That is because he is recognised as a good mapper.
