Tell me they don't. Went to Staffs for new year and noticed cameras on the signs above the M6 at Birmingham through the roadworks with yellow squares behind them.
Do they work, if so what speed can you get away with.
I went through one with the flow of traffic at about 56mph which is 16mph over the 40mph.

These are the ones that caculate your speed you over a fixed distance!

 

There have been Specs cameras in the outside lane in the roadworks on the M6 for about six months or more now.

 

So I probably have got a ticket. GREAT

 

there was a post on these camaras a few weeks ago , i also went throough these camaras a bit to fast (it was 6 am and dead ) i was doing around 60-65mph ,
was a bit worried but nothing came of it .
i belive they have 14 days to inform you about the effence or isue a ITP (intent to prosecute )hold out for 2 weeks and you should be fine
