Cool

OK, we are nearly ready to release the first Issue of the brand new ScoobyNews CD Magazine.

It will contain the LONG requested ScoobyNet technical archives (and others, depending on how much space it takes up).

The planned features are :-

- Lift-off-oversteer workshop
- A regular Don Palmer slot (first edition - a new look at vanishing points (yes I thought I knew it all as well! ))
- The Full high quality footage from the "rsquire's 22B sideways bruntingthorpe day"
- Scooby vs Challenger (we will test a challenging car or marque against the scooby in each issue - this will be completely unbiassed I'm affraid!)
- Techniques Section (Each issue will have a new technique explained in a way suitable specifically for the scoob)
- Set-up guide (again, specifically for the scoob, explanations and in-depth analysis of what different mods ACTUALLY do for the scoob)
- Product Tests
- Sound Files (What does a ScoobySport back box sound like on a 97 RA ? What does Detination sound like? etc, etc.

And much much more!

The issues will be quarterly, and Issue 1 should be available this side of xmas.

There will be a special feature (hopefully we'll get it into issue 1), called "Thread of the Millennium Awards!!" ( ) Send us your nominations (Stef's monumental RS thread!, John Felstead's "how to run your car in in 3 minutes", etc) then we will be taking votes online. The poster of the winner will be included on the for prosperity!

So that we can judge the demand, could you let me know if you would be interested in buying this, and you could even give me an idea of the sort of price you would consider reasonable if you like?

All the best

Simon

I'd have one price could be £5 - £10 depending on weather its run on gold cds or proffesionally run off ie silver discs and covers etc.

Yay !! even my requested sound files got on there

Sounds absolutely excellent, I'd probably pay 30 quid for this, but I don't think thats reasonable

I'd go with Sammyh, as long as it's below £10 then it'd be a bargain.

£10 a quarter is not a lot to pay. I'd go for it at that price. However, I know you have to at least cover your costs. What's the ball park price you're thinking of?

Ohh too excited forgot a couple of things -

I vote for the Stef V RS thread (hilarious), and maybe some stuff from the muppet forum

Any chance of selling some kind of cool storage case in the Scoobynet shop for all the CD's (Maybe a fabric foldout one embroidered with scoobynet, or a brushed aluminium one with scoobynet printed on it ?)

I am such a bleedin sucker for cunning storage furniture

Count me in - £10 or so sounds fair enough.

Anything that will stop me looking stupid posting questions that everyone else already knows the answer to has got to be a winner.

£5 to £10 sounds good.

Will Internet ordering with a Credit Card be an option (rather than using Ludite cheque type thing-ies) .

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi All!

Wow! Great response guys thank you! Makes it worth all the hard work!

Price wise...
The price of £10 will have to be the absolute minimum we could afford to sell them for. Orriginally we were thinking of £15 in order to cover costs and allow a a few quid towards the running of scoobynet, etc.. but we will be guided by you.

I personally think £15 is good value when you think that, it will probably be on 2 CD's, the magazine will be a professionally constructed multi-media presentation including full motion video, etc. and the archives will consist of over 2 years worth of the most complete technical resource I can imagine is available anywhere.

But, like I said (genuinely) if the general concensus is that you feel it should be a tenner, then we will have to look at it.

Thank again!

best regards

Simon

Put me down for one. £10 would be great but I'd up to £20.
