I nearly bought one... Well, "nearly" several good ones but always got there 2nd
Just as well, really. Have you seen the state of the FIAT/Alfa dealer network. Particularly, the FIAT one. Nowadays, though. Find a good one and take it to Motormech or Powerfiat and you have high speed coolness available at low cost. "Low" being a relative term - it's still a turbo 2L wallet eater.
They're very good above 60-80 mph due to aerodynamics and a small x-section. They make nice thrummy warbley sound on WOT too. :cool

I used to own one. IMO best looking car for the money. Mine was running 260bhp and could keep up with scoobs easily, even down some tricky B roads, the chassis was incredible, and it helped having a LSD at the front (not a v good one, but still worth having there). Only problem with them tho is that they can be a money pit to keep in top condition.

they are quick cars i have considered one a few years ago but not to keen on looks and it is a fiat. i have seen a few modded ones dont know power they were running but they did shift

I have had 2, one at 300bhp and one I have now at 250bhp. Easily capable of upsetting under 300bhp scoobs. Nice forum too - Fiat Coupe Forum: Viewing list of forums

nice cars, especially the last run limitd edition with the 6spd box and bigger rims...easily tuned from what i've read and once rolling quick too.
obviously not as macho as the hairly chessed impreza image ( )but its not a camp car at all...lots of knockers obviously haven't been\driven one

Don't knock these fellas, performance per £ is great. My 1997 20VT cost me £1700 with just 73k on the clock ! They handle well and a very comfortable on a run too, fuel economy is way better than a similar powered Scoob too. Don't get me wrong I prefer my 2 Scoobs but they are a great car for the money !

Pininfarina did the interior that's all.
I had a couple, my last one was a 20v Turbo. Chipped it ran 260 but was very difficult to get the power down below 60 and turned into a complete money pit.
My scooby is slower but a better car all round i'd say. Only ever open the bonnet on the scooby to check the oil - spent hours under the bonnet of the Coupe just keeping it in going....
