i was diving it the other day when all of a sudden she let rip and fu@:> was she quick and now back to driving normaly, i feel like i should be driving a mondeo!!! i run it on 99 ron tesco,

Sounds like its not running the boost it should (or any!) could be lots of reasons, a cheap boost guage and do some checking, or if your not confident get it to a specialist as James said...
145 at the wheels is on the low side but not far off right, depends what Dyno its on!
And Welcome

Everyone is going to stand up and say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to this as it is pretty dangerous but what you can do is try running the car with the pipe to the actuator on the turbo disconnected, you should only have a really quick "blip" up the road and keep the revs pretty low.. If you feel the car pull like train you'll probably find the ECU is keeping the boost low or the pipe from your turbo to the t-piece that goes to the actuator and boost solenoid has been replaced and someone didnt realise there is a tiny little restrictor in there (I did the same thing recently).. If its still slow with the actuator pipe off the turbo its self might not be spooling.

A 98 isn't a "bad" year particularly. It's just that the ECU cannot be remapped - And there are few alterntaive - Typically an Apexi Power FC jobbie, which, with a remap, will set you back the best part of £800 odd.

Are you guaging this against another one that you have owned? Have you ever been in one before. A lot of people assume they are super quick but in reality most are fast and only the tuned and STI's are very quick.
And I'll add before someone else does JDM's are quicker.
Hope you get it sorted if their is a fault.
