313 bhp UK STI
Today I had the car rempped at Powerstaton. Mods are limited to PPP and deresonated centre section. Torque is 280ls/ft.
Does this sound right?
I thought that with these mods on a 53 plate STi I would have got more?
Otherwise the car does pull more albeit not the redical change that I was expecting.
Anyone else made this change and what did you get?

I don't know if it's a the wheels it just says that it's 380 nm. Will post up a photo of the graph soon.
I'm just not sure whether the figures some have quoted are *optimistic* or whether, if I was looking for an answer, whether due to the car being ex-Subaru demonstrator is missing any bits of the PPP or something else crap like that

that seems really low for both torque and bhp usually torque is a min of 300lbft and bhp 330+
when i had mine rempped all be it with decat i got 357bhp and 320lbft but andy forrest remap bob rawle gets good figures too and car drives good as well.
either something wrong with car but they should have said that to you when the map was completed so probably not that so probably just a bad map

I has my 53 plate STI mapped at Powerstation and got 337/302 which I was pleased with. View my Scooby for mods.
I dont think your figures are way off what I would expect but would a backbox and panel filter give that much more power ?

As said above what were "figures" before remap as "figures" are a comparison, before and after What does it drive like on the road, bfore and after??

Temp is given on the sheet.
I know that the figures are just pub talk, but the car does'nt feel much quicker at all.
I don't know the figures before the map.
As i'm sure you guys will appreciate, I'm a bit miffed as I have just spent £850 on on the centre secion, geo setup and remap and the car feel similar to what it did before.
Do you think the original suppier may have not put something on the car when new? It was a demostrator and I don;t know whether they have cut corners.

I had the same figures as you at powerstationon a MY02 uk sti, i have a milltek exhaust with a sports cat, up pipe 3 port solenoid, and the car was running on tesco 97. the car is running at 1.3 bar.
This was an increase of 48 hp
hope this helps

I just want to make sure that the car it's wrong in any way. I am not gutted by the figures as there within the realms of being acceptable. However, for the money it just has'nt made the difference on the road that I thought it would.

I've got almost the same mods, except no ppp ecu and I got 313bhp with 315ft/lbs. Would of thought you would have got more? I'm sure powerstation will help you out if you speak to them.

The STi package that PS promote gives 320 hp on a 3" systems, so I don't think you are being hard done by. PS rollers aren't as flattering as others.
The torque is a little low but your intake temps are quite high - yesterday was a warm day. This may have pulled back your timing and isn't showing you its best.
Wait until a cold rainy day and see if you can feel the difference.

I have driven the car in poor weather for the last 6 weeks - then test the improvements in 26 degree heat. Not ideal. Maybe I am just being impatient.
That said, I was of the underatanding that the rollers at PS correct the power for temperature variations etc.
Just not as much as I was expecting that all.
Anyone else got any ideas why?

mate i know your a bit fed up but i would be on the phone to them in the morning, you paid good money for a good map which by the looks of things you did not get.if they can't sort it i'd ask for my car to be reflashed with your base map and a refund.
they are a reputable company and im sure they would'nt be happy that they could'nt improve on the ppp map which is by all accounts far from the optimum.

At 25 degrees my std Sti v7 felt limp... "thrashed"
You need a front mount to cool it down, but back comes the lag problem....
Dunx
Catted TSL system, Hyperflow, re-map = 340 bhp

Thanks gent's, I would like to phone PS but I want to get an understanding of what the problem may be. When I suggested to the man on the desk that I though 313 was a bit lower than what I was expecting he said it was because of the prodrive exhaust.
I don't want to change anything else as it's money I won't get *management* approval to spend and the exhaust is already a bit too loud for me.

well by telling you its the exhaust he's just answered all the question's.he's admitted he can't improve on the prodrive set up simple as that.there are many that can and im sure they don't want to get involved in this thread as it only would start a slaging match.
when you take money from someone you usually need to offer a service or product in exchange.we can discuss all we like here but you only have to use the search facility on scoobynet to see that improvements can be made.

there's naff all wrong with a prodrive system, although i'm hearing whispers about the back box being a bit stiffling and the downpipe cat not being quite as good as it's made out to be, you should be getting better figures than that. hot day or not.
minimum your PPP remap should put out is 315/315 and that's being very conservsative.
the worst bit is you saying the car feels no different, pub figures aside the car should feel a lot better to drive. have you got a before and after graph?

Really miffed now and my pockets are nearly £1000 lighter!
I'm afraid not.
I am thinking I should perhaps check the car myself to ensure it has all the prodrive goodies on it as I now have my suspicions that something is not right.
Can someone give me a definate repsonse to the question: What should my car have on it as part of the PPP, and how do I tell if my car has each? I'm not a mechanic either!
Please only repsond unless you know the answer. I really went to get to the bottom of this.
Thanks

your PPP sti should have a sports cat downpipe (not sure if your year has the one with a 'blanket' round it or not. this may make a difference as the latter is a better version) a decat 2nd pipe (which will have the heat sheilds in place) the reonated section you've done, and the straight cut round Prodrive backbox. also an uprated fuel pump.
do you have the PPP certificate? i assume it's a uk car not euro import?
really don't want to **** on your fireworks mate, but something doesn't sound right.

you might want to check the fuel pump mate it should be a silver one with walbro on it somewhere its a bit of a *** job to do but an hour should do it. if its a goldish colour they have not replaced it.
believe it or not but some subaru mechanics cut corners on the fuel pump and low and behold one ends up on flea bay!!!!!! get it checked could be the problem.
