Default SVA quick question

Hi all, just about to buy my sti v4 and i had noticed that on the log book there was a passage of txt saying sva awarded and the date with an emmision figure next to it.

Does this mean i can forget about any sva issues as its already on the log book? I thought sva's were needed to issue a log book?

Cheers

Soon to be scooby owner

E-SVA is required for registration in the UK. If it has a V5 then E-SVA isnt an issue for you to worry about.

Depends when the car was imported - if it was before the ESVA regs came in then it probably will have gone through a regular SVA and have a V5. And in that case, you have nothing to worry about, the car is already registered.

STI V4's are nearly 10 years old now, aren't they? I saw the other day that there's a model report available for the STI V too now.

First manufactured in September 1997, most are younger though.

Yes, at the beginning of March. If you look on your certificate of deregistration it will only note the month of first use, not the day.
