just had the 1000 mile service on my sti,£40 +vat for 4 litres of oil.i thought dick turpin was dead

Oilman will relieve you of far more than THAT

Also, I thought it took something like 4.5 Litres?

just had my 1000 mile service today. the bill was £49 .

Think yourselves lucky my brother was quoted £120.00 +vat for the oil change part of his BMW 840 service!!!

GMD charged me £68.50 for it! It was £110 for front pads changed! Then I found out the car was on still on finance with prev owner. Dick Turpin has not got a look in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you continue to use the main stealer for servicing, ask if you can supply your own oil. It is a common way for them to make even more easy money (along with £3 for screenwash, £x for sundries etc...)
