Default Where can i find the "bits" that go into your drill to port headers???

I've got aftermarket header and up-pipe now but still have my original headers and up=pipe which i'd like to port.

I found the thread which shows you how to do it but can't find anything on ebay about the carbide bits used to port them out as i don't know their official name???

Any ideas folks??

You need Carbide Burrs for a Die Grinder, a quick serach for carbide burr on ebay lists quite a few choices.

Carbide bits will be pretty useless in a drill, as it doesn't spin fast enough for them to work properly.

They are designed to work in a die grinder, which spins at around 15,000 to 26,000 rpm...

Be careful as you might end up losing power. Check the SNet engine mods write that Shaun did. He ported his headers and ended up losing power.

If the headers are cast items, then ported properly, matched to a purpose designed up-pipe, they will show a signifigant improvement in torque, power and smooth drivability with earlier spool as many people on this forum have already found.
