Apexi because it can be simply removed and sold on when/if you decide to sell the car as standard,your original ecu would have to be reflashed with the original map,or another one sourced to do the same..... the cell light will be programmed to flash if knock becomes too much,also will do the same for other sensors that reach their limit,injector duty cycle for instance,then its up to you to back off,the commander is a very handy tool to see whats hapening with the boost fuelling,knock etc.... also if you wish to do further mods the apexi can be easily tweaked to allow for these,the standard ecu with ecutek would need a complete reflash to take care of these,and would from my research cost a little more than the apexi...... i weighed up all this before i decided which way to go on mine.
