Has anyone bought a turbo from this company??
Ive just ordered a TD05 18G from them and have recently been told that their 18G and 20G turbos are not genuine and dont make the power they are supposed to.
Can anyone shed some light on this??

The general feeling was that these turbos from that company are not genuine 18 or 20g TD05's and are unreliable.
I think Andy F said something about them having an 18g compressor wheel within a 16g housing

I'm going to be looking at buying an 18g soon and definately won't be getting one from them !

There was a thread on here a few days ago asking a similar question.

I bought a Big 16G from them last year, they said it would be a genuine and would be coming from Japan. It was shipped from Taiwan, so make of that what you will. I complained about that and they said they would ship me another from japan if i shipped it back to Taiwan, of course i didnt have time or inclination to trust that after the initial shipment was not as described and my car was off the road with no turbo. I also asked for how to do a waranty claim as it's suposed to be a genuine stock part, never got a reply to that question.
To be fair it's not been a problem so far, in fact it's working extremely well, but should i need to change the turbo again i wouldnt use them, i would buy it from AndyF, Paul @ Zen or Mark @ Lateral. At least then i would know for certain it was genuine and i would have good service in the UK. I dont even think it saved any money by the time i had paid shipping and customs fees, one of those moments of rushing a decision and not knowing enough about the goods/suplier.

There is a thread in General Technical on these turbos. Worth a read.
I wouldn't risk it myself. Get a well known & trusted source to supply, like AndyF
