I cleaned my cone one using petrol. The only liquid that can get sucked into then is the petrol you cleaned it with.

Not good for filtering cos all the petrol will evaporate.

You can buy a K&N cleaning kit. Just dont over spray with too much oil as it will kill the MAF

Best way is K+N cleaning kit and follow the instructions carefully.
You will be surprised by the amount of dirt that comes out.

Wash mine in warm soapy water. Spin dry on electric drill, then re-oil with K&N oil.
