Default How much is my car worth

If somone can give me an estimate I would be most greatful.

Its a 2001 bug eye wrx in blue
prodrive light conversion
18" innovite graphite alloys
Blitz NUR spec r back box and center section plus decat (vortex I think)
Lowered approx 30mm on eibachs
Full set of Brembo discs calipers and pads all round. car done 1200 miles since fitting and they were brand new when I fitted them
Braided hosing.
RAC trackstar.

I accept that mods don't neccessarily increase the value of a car.

It MOT'd until end of next June
Taxed until end of next March

62K on clock

with full service history
Just had timing belt changed last month

I got a few plans which means I might need to sell it.

How much could I reasonably expect to get?

well its a bit like asking how long is a piece of string, and people will only pay what there prepared to pay.

there are some similar cars on autotrader for 7.2k, with lower milage, then there are others up nearer 9k so take your pick

So £8K to £9K wasn't far off then?
It's also pointless using those car price guides. The amount of times I've picked one up and just laughed at some of the prices.
My old Integra was 'supposed' to be worth £3900. Funny how I got £6850 for it.

No offense intended Dan... but...

Do you really think having braided hoses really adds to the value of your car?... to be honest listing those mods will probably detract from the overall value as it will be seen as a boy racer's car?

Maybe, maybe not.... but that's my HUMBLE OPINION.... either way... hope you sell it

DCI Gene Hunt - I take your point that perhaps that mentioning mods may lessen the value due to it appearing like a boy racer's car. I thought that perhaps by listing them a potential buyer might see it as a job in progress. That's why i mentioned the braided hosing. Not so much in the hope of increasing value, rather in the hope that a potential buyer may see that i'm not taking shortcuts when modding it. I value your feedback though.

Lem6 - Perhaps 7k is all mine's worth, I don't know. I guess we all like to get as much as we can though.

Its not for sale and might not be for a long time. I'm just curious at present as I have some plans that I might end up pursuing. Selling the car would become necessary.

On the few occasions I have bought performance cars, the thought of buying someone elses "project" has not appealed.
As far as a general list price goes, mods add little or nothing to the value but on communities like this, there are people who like the idea of buying a modded car.
So as chris says, the value is hard to gauge. I think an 01WRX would be worth about 5.5k. That said, with the mods, by advertising it in the right place then I dont see why 7k wouldnt be spent on it by someone...
