Confused as to how old the engine is? Says new but then says 60k.

He means it got a new (new = not original and replacement) engine with 55k miles on it around 5k miles ago.... giving it around 60k on it just now.

What a horrible RB5 <- Never thought I'd see myself saying that!!

Cheers,
Grant

I like the 304bhp@wheels part, just chipped with a dump valve no wonder the first engine blew up

Perfect example of a car not to buy.

Chav stickers all over it

Thrashed so much it needs a new engine

Lexus style lights

Nasty aftermarket alloys on a special edition

Owner can't even be bothered to spell his advert correctly

Boasts about hammering it

It's been 'chipped'

2 grand more gets you this one

Subaru : RB5 w/ PPP

While I don't agree with the cosmetic mods which have screwed it up IMO it sounds like a much better bet.

Yep that second one is a stunner. I love the RB5's.
As for the first one... Well to put it politely, it's not to my tastes and the advert doesnt do it any favours...
My, that really was polite!

But it's not going to cosk £2K+ to get it back to standard is it?

I'd be more worried about who did the engine change, whether they put a new clutch in at the same time, what ecu upgrade it's running & if it has any service history?

I feel sorry for the guy who sold it to him.

It was probably nice when he got hold of it and messed it up.

Seeing cars like this, its no wonder the reputation of the owners has gone down in the last 2-3 years.

That IS fact BTW Impreza's USED to be 'cool'.

What a dreadfully written ad, and the Labour Government still insists that our schools are not failing generations.

English people who cannot write English, it couldn't happen in any other country, and the saddest thing is there are hundreds more ads like that!

I'd have to disagree with the MLR ref, perhaps the users on there are a little older? Never been on the M3 site so i can't comment on that one. The 350z site has to be the most polite/grown up site i've been on by far.

You should have been on here 3/4 years ago.
Totally different to now. People only wanting to help each other out.and going right out their way to do it.

Its hard to say when it all started going wrong, but ever so slightly the people changed. There are now very few of the original 'enthusiasts' left.

Ive been on the MLR, longer than here and involved with Lancers before the EVO's came on the scene. And that site has changed even more. It used to be a friendly rivalry thing. Now they have a worse Chav image than us.

As soon as 350Z's become available for under 5 grand, it'll go just like this one has?

I've seen this car in the flesh - yes, and in Bridlington. I did a thread about it in "Was it You", if anyone with full membership would like to drag it out of its hiding place with the search function. It is truly hideous.
