Default P1 Stolen - keep your eyes open.

Sadly my car was stolen from my drive in the early hours of monday morning. It was a proffesional job, involving skating the car through 90 degrees to get it out between 2 cars, pushing it up the road, disabling the alarm, ripping the tracker out, firing the car up then driving away.

The car is well known on here and other forums and has a number of identifying features including quite a lot of one off things i have made for it mysef.

I don't think for one minute i will get the car back, but i would love any info that could possibly help the scumbag good for nothing w*nkers get caught.

The car was my pride and joy, and i am as miserable as **** without it.

If i could ask people to keep their eyes peeled on the forums and ebay, and PM me if they see or know of anything suspicious. That is of course if the car is not on a boat somewhere.

Car is an immaculate 2000 P1 on a private plate.

The brakes are very rare, if not a one off.
The exhaust system is a full RCM 3" system
The intercooler pipework and core are black. There is a lot of black powder coating under the bonnet.
There are a number of one off engineered bits like the battery cover and reservoir caps.

Many thanks for your time

As Mark has said, the car had some very distinctive bits in and around it. The Cam covers, and sump for example, were painted Red! Very distinctive, so if you get offered a complete motor but without Cam covers, Sump etc... ask questions!!

The car was also fitted with an RCM GT35 Hybrid Turbo, these are quite rare to find on the 2nd hand market, so again ask questions if you are offered one.

Mark is understandably upset, but as a friend, and fellow P1 owner, I too am gutted about this theft!!. Alot of time and effort was put into that car, and some great times have been had by myself due to the fact that he owned this car!!. eg Car meets, Magazine Feature, RR Days etc...

Hope the f****rs burn in hell

Cheers for this mate, you have made some points concerning the redness that i had not even thought off. Ta for the heads up on 22B as well

As far as the engine goes, if they try and strip it or sell it whole anyone who knows a bit will see it has fully ported cylinder heads, it does not look like a scabby old 2000 block either, it's a STI8 spec item and still very clean.

It has blue anodised pulleys on and a lightened flywheel with an AP clutch, all the headers, up pipe and downpipe are lagged in red painted wrap. The intercoler core is painted black on the front facing side but still silver on the back. The number plate bracket is completely absent as i have cut it off so if its on the road they will have to sort that out.

Under the back end it has Whiteline ARB and drop links, the rear calipers are standard but painted red and the rear hubs are painted silver.

If anyone comes across a genuine rear P1 spoiler, the P1 logo on mine has been repainted and you can tell because the sharp edgs of the logo are now rounded where they have rubbed it with wet and dry.

The splitter and bumper are stone chipped as normal, the driving light brackets are chopped for clearance over the intercooler pipes.

In the 3 + years i have had the car, there is hardly a single piece of the car i have not personally removed for some reason so i know every distinguishing mark.

The car is very distinctive, someone on here will know something, all i ask is for PM's if you do. For information leading to a positive ID of the thiefs there will be a reward of £250, it will be more if my insurance pay out is reasonable!

The wheels are 18" s that have been refurbed, the lacquer is coming off on a couple of places and the Prodrive logo on one of them has nbeen smeared/scuffed by the tyre changing kit. They have 225/35 Toyo's on that are only a month old.

So so gutted for you, even I feel a bit sick

Definately THE best example of a P1 I've seen in my 2yrs of being on here. Always love seeing pics of it. So much hard work gone into it too!

Fingers crossed for you it turns ups intact.
