baby seat for a classic
Well after convincing my good lady that a wagon was a practical family car I had to eat my words Monday evening. I was loading the car up for us to go to the maternity hospital for the birth of our little girl when I realised I could not fit both car seats into the car. This lead to the ultimate indignity of going in our old Rover 214!!
Problem is that I am 6'2" tall so have the seat right back and neither our Chicco baby carrier or Britax Rennaisance will fit behind my seat.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so what seat did you get to solve this problem or did you simply sell your Scooby which I am being threatened with....

i have a classic wagon and i too am 6ft and have 2 boys, a 2 year old and a eight month old.
depends if the car seats need to be forward facing or rear facing (depending on age). in mine the rear facing seat goes behind the passenger seat (as that seat needs a bit more room)and the forward facing for my 2 year old goes behind the drivers seat no problem.
forward facing is a britax evolva 123
and rear facing is a nania easy rider
if any of that makes sense to you,ive just got the seat info off the wife.
dont think you will need to sell becaus theres easy enough room in mine

Hi mate,
thanks for your reply. I have had a quick look at the Britax website but the images on there are a bit small and not much use. Is there any chance I could be cheeky and ask if you could take a photograph showing the distance behind the seat? I checked Britax's fit finder but don't hold much faith in that as it groups the saloon and the wagon together even though the seats are clearly different.
Thanks
Mike

i should imagine nearly all forward facing seats will fit no problem as the ones i have had only extend to the same level as the cars back seat.(rear facing may be more of a problem because they extend a bit further)
try halfords they will come out to your car and try different seats to get the best fit(then if you want get the model number and buy it somwhere else because halfords are usually a bit more exspensive).
