Question Broken outside stopcock responsibility..?

Who is responsible for maintenance and repair of the stop **** that's usually in the street (under a liftable cover with 'Stop ****' written on it)..? Not the one in the house under the sink..!

Ours would appear to have just sprung a leak as water is gushing up and we have no mains water..!

Have phoned Severn Trent and someones on the way..

IIRC user liability only extends to the pipework within the property boundary..

Anyone care to confirm..?

Sounds about right, isn't the final connection to the main feed down to the waterboard as well? I'm guessing its all down to them!
