I think the ones sold by API are unique to them, but call David and ask.

The reason I ask is API want £370 for the Exedy organic and i've found somewhere else that sells one for £250 and they assure me it is the same Exedy Organic uprated clutch in the 'pink' box.

If API's is better then that's fair enough but i'd like to know before I buy one !

There are many Variants by the seems

The Classic STi shares the same disk as the Newage WRX 230mm ( although some classics had twin plate 225mm!!)

The newage STi's have 240mm Plates

acccording to exedy Stage 1 is an uprated over OEM replacement

EXEDY Globalparts Corporation | High Performance and OEM Clutches and Flywheels
230mm STi or newage WRX
Torque Capacity Increase 44%
Clamp Load (lb): 2300
Spline Teeth / Major Dia (mm): 24T / 25.2
Disc O. D. (mm): 230

2002-04 Subaru Impreza WRX 2.0L EJ20T
1991-94 Subaru Legacy 2.2L 6

FH01SD maybe an OEM replacement

EXEDY Globalparts Corporation | High Performance and OEM Clutches and Flywheels

STi 240mm Newage IIRC

Part Number: 15803
Specs
Clamp Load (Lbs) 2310
Disc Outer Diameter 240
Spline Teeth / Major Diameter 24T / 25.2

FH02SD maybe an OEM replacement

Also see seems the STD type in US
EXEDY Globalparts Corporation | High Performance and OEM Clutches and Flywheels

EXEDY Clutch Europe Ltd - Sports Clutch

some interesting reading about newage STi WRX's drive shaft's lock ring coming out and only 3 wheel drive

But Find Part nuber and Email s.rogers@exedy.co.uk or j.atterbury@exedy.co.uk

Hope this helps

The APi version of the Exedy is £320 not £370.

It is not the same as others sold around the UK on the interweb etc. We have stronger materials on the APi friction disc and we are working on a Kevlar version at the moment.

I cannot really answer that as we do not use the UK Exedy clutch to get a comparison. We have our own supply of heavy duty friction discs and the we set clamp pressure on the flywheel to suit the application necessary.

We have them out there on 400 / 400 cars that get a hard time. What more can I say ?? Only that cheaper or cheapest is not always best.
