Default A BIG thanks to API and RCM

I raced last Sunday at the Time Attack at Brands but this was only possible thanks to API and RCM.

David at API squeezed my car in a short notice to replace 5th gear syncro.
It was also a short working week for them as they had the car during the Bank Holiday week. Picked up the car last Friday and all felt good on the drive home.

Last Saturday, day before Brands, drove the car to top up with fuel. On the way back (around 4pm) a very loud screeching noise, metal on metal at low speeds coming from Nearside wheel. Tested it as best as I could and established it was not the brakes. The only thing I could think of was the wheel bearing.

Phoned RCM and spoke to Matt, explained the situation. He said he had one in stock and I asked what time they closed. He said, "We will close once you get here and the job is done". At that point words can’t explain my relief!

Thank you David and Matt

Buck

Thanks for that, Buck - much appreciated. Funny how that just fell to bits, especially as we saw nothing when fitting the new pads and I road tested the car.

Ah well!!, hope Brands went well for you.

Kind regards David

You're just saying that 'cos I'm on of the 'crew'.

What do you need from me for the raffle thing at the Scoobyball? And when?

I see API are now offering mindreading as a service

If you would like to do a A4 certificate of what you have offered Dave

I can Laminate it and get a good picture of it being presented

The Ball is a couple of weeks away so no real rush yet

if you could post it to

Trouble is, that I learned my mind reading skills working with my own mind.

Which probably explains everything...................

Sir-stiffi-cut coming your way.

It was very strange. It just "went"! Still better do have gone on Saturday and get it sorted, thankfully, then go on Sunday with no chance of repair.

Brands.......I just didn't get to grips with the circuit. Phil England (Dill Type R) and myself are normally pretty close on times. I was 2 seconds off his pace...!

Still good fun and that's what its about for me.
