Which turbo is quick on the spool up and good for around 400bhp, for a MY05 Sti??

You'll always lose some spool when you go for a bigger turbo, but a TD05 20g wil meet your bhp requirements.

Id say you would have to be lucky to get a 20g to make 400bhp ?

The weapon of choice for newage 2.5l engines and that sort of power seems to be the MD321T.

I think that was on race fuel or Meth. If I was to take a guess Id say 85% of 20g turbo's dont make 400.

The MD321H Seems to be the banker for 400 or a TD06-49 is suppose to be a 400bhp turbo also.

The H version is more for the 2 litre engine I understand, and the T for the 2.5l

Yep, but Mark has implied that a lot of people are going for H on a 2.5 for almost no lag at 400.....tough choice when they are the same money....I know 'cos I made the choice!

I wasn't aware that lag was an issue for the T on the 2.5? I know it is on the 2 litre, but I though the 2.5 was OK?

I dont think lag 'is' an issue on a T, its just that a H on a 2.35/2.5 will be almost lag free, and considering a T can get up to 1.6bar at 2600rpm I am looking forward to see what the H does!
