Ally wishbones? replace bushes. steel wishbones, buy ally ones and when the bushes go, upgrade the bushes

Do alloy wishbones make that much of a differnence on a MY00 classic that already handles like a scalextric car? Just curious as I was going to get a set but was told that my car is so good already there is not much point changing anything.
