Default What size tyres on MY06 STI

I think the rims are 8 ".
The OE tyres supplied are 225/45/17.
I believe OE fitment in Japan is 235/45/17.
Has anyone tried any other sizes on these rims?
I saw one site (michelin) that indicated 245/45/17 and also 245/40/17 would fit onto these rims.
I am aware these different tyres will effect the already inaccurate speedometer.

AFAIK only the 235 & 225 sizes have been tried in 17".
I have 18's with 235/40/18

I would have thought that although 245/45/17 are available that perhaps the load factor of the tyre isnt high enough. There could be a lot of sidewall flex in a 245/45 tyre with corresponding vagueness.

IMHO
