Default Graham Walker Ltd Chester

I just been having a look through some of the thread and was amazed to see the comments about Graham Walker Chester Ltd on the 22B.
I have purchased 6 cars from GWL over the past 7 years. These range from the RB5, P1, WRX's and my current 2.5 ltr STi. I have recommended GWL Chester to my friends who have also bought cars from them. The service I have had has always been excellent and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Personally I've not seen these threads but you maybe better to defend GWC on those threads than a random new thread

Where they on SNet or did you mean on the 22b,com site

Tony

I was also amazed at the comments on 22B as I can't find any.

I take it that business is a little slow at the moment?

Hi Mr Walker Robers I have commented on previous threads about my experiences there and seem to remember the 22b in question being in the showroom when I made my one and only purchase from there...
I am glad you have had had many splendid experiences when purchasing your plethora of Impreza models.

Slightly obvious who the post is from.
I looked at the scoobes they had in stock when I was looking for my RB5 and thought they were terribly overpriced for the condition of the cars. Couple of posts on here made it very cler to me to ster well clear of them.

Wink

The only trouble is "if" GWC was the Carlsberg garage for Subaru's they still could end up with a disgruntled customer but normally the other 100 custumers will put the story straight

"user" post count does wieghs heavilly on here someone with a post count of 1-5 could be just any Tom dick or Harry.

Although you maybe a genuine "Customer", in the Past a single post on a single Thread user is normally an insider or "Ringer" promoting the "thread"

it is strange that

you have bought 6 scoobs whoops 6 Cars and just so happened onto a Thread here, more like asked to do so but if you were off another Car foruml ike MLR , SWS , SIDC, RB5OC, WJPCC, SX200, Drifter , 22B, Skyline, Fordoc, MLOC etc etc post your username and post count, this would give some credience to you story

otherwise, may have done more harm than good and you will only see more posts like this below IMHO

I have about 2 years ago. A Classic T2000 DBM Impreza UK model. Car was a bit overpriced but was struggling to find what I wanted and this one met my needs. Not used them for servicing or any other work as they are not the best value independant Subaru specialist in the area. My car was supposed to have had some new parts fitted before I collected it but later found out second hand parts had been used as the front 2 tyres had 'part worn' written on the inside edge in white paint.

I recall the thread about the 22b quite a while ago and it was quite disturbing, especially when others began to comment about cars they had bought from G Walkers.
No experience personally.

I got my last Impreza from GW, the service I got from them was OK. I wouldn't say it was fantastic. The cars there do tend to be overpriced, and I'd never use them for servicing again after seeing the way they've driven some of the cars there for a service (which was quite expensive as well). I'll stick with the garage I've always used from now on, I know what I'm getting.

On another note, they sold my mate an Impreza with a buckled wheel after they'd already told him that it would be fixed. They tried to fix the wheel by simply balancing it! He went back a few times and got nowhere, and in the end bought a new set of wheels. Needless to say he's never used them for servicing.

I probably did join in 2003, not sure why it's saying it's my first post today, it isn't. I've been on the site off and on for years now, haven't posted much over the years though, especially since they firewalled the site in work (so haven't been on for a while, not 4 years though).

I only gave my opinion of the dealer in question. I've got nothing to do with the motor trade (I work for British Telecom), and wouldn't have a clue where the best place to get an Impreza from around here.

Thanks, I know about the counter. Like I said before, I haven't posted much anyway, and not for a long time (probably a couple of years, since I got my FMIC and Knocklink in a group buy). They firewalled the forums in work, which meant that I no longer had access (and bought another car, so used different forums for info).

I have bought two cars from Graham Walkers in the past and found them pretty good. I had a couple of problems with the first car I had from them but once they were made aware of the problems they sorted it out very quickly.
The second car I bought from them, a bugeye STI Prodrive was absolutely mint and I still regret selling it back to them about 12 months ago
They gave me a very good price for it in cash , £1500 more than most dealers offered in px.

When My G/F went to GW for her P1, she drove one, but it had a problem, so they wouldn't sell it to her. They phoned her up when the next one was in and invited her down for a test drive, she then bought the car.

No problems with the car or the service, and the cost was reasonable at the time.

If someone has a bad experience, they will always spread the word. if someone receives good service, they are less likely to shout about it (1 in 20 may)

I bought my WRX from GW and its been fine as has the after sales service

I go there for servicing as well which isn't cheap but which garage does carry out cheap Subaru services?

Matt Walker always greets me by name as well.

The cars are a bit expensive but they do sell a lot.

So they let her test drive a car that was faulty????????

FFS there meant to be Subaru specialsts! If they can't at least make sure all the cars on the forcourt work fine then they must be useless!

Why is it with Imprezas people just bend over and let garages charge silly money because they think for some reason they should be charging silly money to service an Impreza?
