There is no doubting that Colin was a very talented driver and a bit of a personality but come on how many convoys / meets / stickers etc Anyone would think you were all personal friends

To be honest this whole Scoobynet community probably wouldnt be here if it wasnt for Colin Mcrae, As the Scoobynet owner said in his message earlier - he was inspired by colin mcrae's numerous victories to set up Scoobynet in the first place.Show some respect please

I dont think GP should have received an infraction for this (taking he did get it for this thread) as he has a right to ask, as not everyone knows everything about SWRT's history etc.
No need to crucify the guy, we are all feeling it and there is no bad intention in the original post.

He has expressed his opinion and it should stand IMO.
I do think his opinion is wrong, personally - but, an Infraction is a bit harsh?
I feel that someone like Colin McRae touched people without having to know him personally and so those people feel a sense of loss and wish to show their grief in some way or another. If that means a sticker or black ribbons, so be it.
I will simply remember him and feel a sadness for his wife and other members of his family.

The problem is that 90% of Gutman's post these days are trolling looking yo wind people up and get a response. Am in this case i am disgusted by his sick taste.
Maybe it was a genuine question, but from his past posts it makes it hard to believe.

In some ways I have to agree with Gutmann's post
It's not been 24 hours since his death and already there is talk of special edition cars, convoys, stickers etc etc
smacks of bad taste a lot more than this thread does, at least allow some time for his real friends and family to come to terms with their loss

I agree with Gp i`m afraid, and i feel that people talking of visiting the crash site or profiteering from his untimely demise should be shouted down instead.
Gp`s infraction if due to this post should be overturned.

I loved his ballsy full on driving style but did I know him ....no
I did meet him on what turned out to be his very last WRC Rally in Turkey. He sat next to be in the back of a WRC camera Car for about 30k's. (His car had broken down on stage and ended up giving him a ride back to service)
did I know him after this......no............. But he is still my Idol.
Like many out off repect I will do something to show respect or honour his life and achievements.
We all hope to leave a small footprint history, hopefully one our family and friends can be proud of.
Regards
