I am the same,always offer people lifts even if they are going in the opposite direction to me. And always offer to be taxi to the family,just to scare them

Direct route home from work takes a few mins, but theres a back way that takes in some country lanes, so I will go that way if its a nice day which takes about 15 mins

Yes, my detours are usually just after pay day. By the end of the month im tootling about at 2500rpm the shortest way possible

I even move my wife's car out of the way,just so i can nip out in the scooby.It takes me more time moving the cars about than it does to go where im going.
