Default Excellent Colin McRae tribute from David Coulthard.

BBC SPORT | Motorsport | Coulthard to wear McRae colours

David Coulthard will wear a helmet designed like Colin McRae's at the Japanese Grand Prix as a tribute to the 1995 World Rally Champion.

Coulthard added: "The McRae family can keep the helmet or they may decide to give it to a foundation to raise funds.

"Either way I'm proud to wear the helmet, although I'm not sure I'll be able to drive anywhere near as sideways as he would, but I'll do my best."

If the helmet does come up for auction to raise funds then I think SN should chip together and buy it for me

Good man, about time that 700hp procession did something to commemorate true driver McRae. On the day his death was announced more was said in the Motogp than the F1. Rossi did a piece expressing his sadness and held up a placard for him on the grid. F1 must of talked about it for all of 30 seconds.

Exellent.

As the GP is in Japan, I wonder if the Locals will get behind it.

After all before Colin, Subaru were nowhere, except for selling Agricultural Vehicles in the same Show Rooms that the Farmers used to buy their bit of kit.

In fact, I remember a few years ago in Scotland, the saying amonst the Farming Lot was " SUBARU, THE FARMERS FRIEND."

How he changed everything for them, the sport, us canot be quantified.

What a Top Man.

Regards
