Default HELP ME OUT HERE STI ver 3/6

Just had the most abusive contact with the seller of a version 6 STI limited. When I asked why it had the rear tailamp assembly with the orange indicator instead of the clear/red tailamp I have received numerous abusive email telling me that they were all an orange tailamp assy and that I am an a/hole that knows nowt
Help me out here folks,
Should a version 6 V Limited STI have an Orange/red tailamp or a White/Red Tailamp assembly.
I wish to post the link to this thread to this nobjockee

Yup, red and clear for an sti 6.

It's either been rear ended, had them stolen/stripped or the guy is trying to pull a fast one.

Tell him best of luck with the sale and look elsewhere.

at least you picked up on the error that made you then ask, shows you that you had a feeling something didn't feel 100% about the car.

any pix of the car, is it on AutoTrader?

I'm seen some STi's with the UK rears (red/orange) just for the integral fog light.

My advice is always the same: check the applied model number. Everything else is subjective...

His replies..

You are wrong you ****!! I have had many V3-V6, & ALL had orange indicators!! The ones you had must have been changed you idiot!!! Do you think people would change clear ones to orange ones? What a tosser you are!! Get your facts right!
You obviously have no idea about Imprezas!!!! Stick with your Saxo or Punto!

I am not wasting my time with you any more. I am not interested in what you have to say. I know what Imprezas have standard.

Do I smell a prat? This is boring me. I have better things to do. I have just listed the car again, but with no reserve! Someone will get a bargain. Shame I blocked you from bidding!!! Goodnight

Quite a salesman I thing you'll agree

Was wondering the same thing.

Were you both speaking about the REAR light assembys?

In which case, I have seen one (on here), where the importer allegedly fitted UK clusters to pass the SVA.

as the others have said Red/clear on all STis from V3 to V6 only STis to have red orange rears are V1 & 2 iirc Id steer well clear and look for a car from an enthusiast forum that way at least you have a pretty good idea that it has been looked after as you can check the cars history just by searching for posts from the seller

It's got the wrong wheels too.
Those are from an STi 5, NOT an STi6.

Looks like he's swapped a few things over before selling.

His ebay posting is asking for trouble, he will have a hard time selling that car with that attitude.

Looking at his ad, at least it's not personal. He's being abusive toward everybody. I'm almost tempted to offer him half what it's worth just to see the reaction

Sounds like a Class A C**T to me... My suspision would be it used to be covered in stick on tat including a nice set of gash aftermarket lights and hes put it mostly back to standard to sell it.. I'd also bet theres something wrong with it be it bent or about to let go..

And his answer...

No, not putting that in the advert for security of course!! If you win, & it is not what it seems, you don't have to buy it!

I also know a few done on SVA instead of a cheepy aditional Fog light

But as said check for dull painwork in boot no gloss and put you head under back of bumper and panels, suprising howmant I've found with unpainted panels and pary No. stickers still on
