Default hello. could you give me your thoughts

Morning everybody.
Seen this car the other day and enquired about it. It looks fantastic and have spoken to the owner who is a dealer. He had this car as a part ex.
The original owner was fanatical about it so I have been told. There are 2 folders of reciepts and it has had a top end rebuild not long ago. The only thing is that it has done 150,000 miles.
Is this going to be a problem should I be concerned about it if it has been looked after as well it has meant to be.
Would appreciate some thoughts before I go and part with the cash.
item number on Ebay is 160162508123
Thanks in advance.
Carl

personally for the miles, its a high price, even thought its a limited edition.

if it has been cared for, great, but at that mileage, if everything is original, ie engine, gearbox etc, surely some stuff will be ready to go pop. just my opinion as my scoob is on 130k miles, and the gearbox is starting to bugger off and i have annoying noisy tappets too.

Yeah thats what i was thinking its just that im looking around for my first on as I can now finally after 6 years afford the insurance and I dont want to buy one thats gonna pop on me in 6 months.
Why is it all the imports seem to be low mileage and all the uk are high.
Is it that the imports are clocked Not saying all are but could this be the case.

Personally i would save a bit more and be patient, you can get a low mileage minter for £5500-6000.If i was to sell mine which is a uk my99 turbo with 59000 miles on it with full service history i wouldnt expect mr than 5 grand for it.
hope this helps

but currently its a buyers market. mentioned that on another thread. if you wanted to sell that bad, you would have to accept the going rate i suppose

thats it, to me the mileage is very high, even on a 10+ year old car

mines a 99 car, with less miles (still 130k but on second engine 60k) and cost me less than 4000 last year. but its the limited edition, bumps valve up, but not that much.

Wow that means if yours is a my99 and has 13o000 miles and on its second engine then mine will be due a new one in 5000 miles

i think it was because the car did 75k miles in its first three years.

the turbo blew up and spilt oil everywhere causing 4.5k of damage. or at least thats what subaru charged for the replacement short block turbo, exhaust etc.

only problem with it now is a wailing gearbox (which looks to be the original) and noisy tappets (probable bottom end rebuild eventually)

but back on topic...

Its all down to how its been maintained over the years, high mileage isn't such an issue these days. On any old car I'd always get a professional appraisal from a trusted garage before handing over any cash...

Whats worse, a wankered and thrashed mint condition low mileage car.. or a well maintained and unthrashed high mileage car...

Get a professional opinion...

mines on 111,000miles full subaru history its a uk 1994 still on the same engine and gearbox, clutch was changed at 75,000.
runs perfect no probs and is modded to around 290bhp.
funny how you see alot of imports of that age with claimed half that mileage with engine failure etc.
i would stay away from that one you are looking at its defanutly a buyers market at the moment ive been trying to sell mine for £2800 for a month without getting any cash offers just swaps etc.
also seen an r reg uk turbo 2000 wagon (mentioned being a member on here in his ad)silver with 88,000 miles on with a full subaru service history looked clean no faults long m.o.t etc on ebay and it was only bid on upto £1650.
