Question Helly Kelly... Anyone dealt with him/her?

OK, it's like this.

I have my Impreza Turbo 2000 for sale (on here) as well as Pistonheads etc, and I have received an email from someone named Helly Kelly who has offered me the full asking price and also 10 DOLLARS to withdraw my ad off a site.

I'm a little concerned that this guy/girl (ALEX) is offering to send a 'check' not a cheque for the asking price of £4995 without even seeing the car, and once the 'check' has cleared he/she will send their movers over to ship the car??

Should I be wary?
Has anyone ever had this kind of offer or dealing??

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

You send them your address, where to send the cheque. Then someone comes around and nicks your car.

I thought they sent a cheque for more than the sale price and you give them the car and the cash difference "for shipping". By the time your bank tells you the cheque is a fake, your car and cash have gone!

Thanks for the replies!

I kind of guessed it was a scam - though not being in the business of selling cars wasnt 100% sure... I am now as the idiot emailed again with the same email but this time called himself DAVID and offered me 10 POUNDS to take my advert off!

Waste of time!

While I'm here - anyone fancy buying my Turbo 2000 T reg - Excellent condition - I will be posting pics up on Monday... Anyone??

Thanks again all
