Default Red Button On The Seat Belt Bracket

Trying out some Second Hand STI Seats.

Fitted them in OK.

When I went to clip the SeatBelt in, the Red Button was down & wouldn't engage. (You know the Red Button you press to engage/release the Seat Belt)

Took the old bracket off my original seat, still no joy. (The Red Button doesn't sit up, if that makes sense).

The only thing I can think of, is on the Passenger seat, I couldn't get the Yellow connector off and, it shows up Air Bag on the dash.

I was gonna go back to the place I got them on Monday to get that sorted.
Srely the Red Button is a mechanical thing??

Any one got any pointers please?

Thanks.

Regards

Right, just been out and squirted a bit of WD40 in the receiver, red button going up and down ok now on the receiver.

The seat belt itself goes in, but won't click, tried the old fitment and it won't click now either.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Found out what it was and why the Red Button wouldn't work.

The Driver's seat was wired up to a Seat Belt Warning Circuit.

Had to put the Old Drivers Bracket on and wire it in.

Now working.
