Default Speeding

Just went through a gatso doing just under 60 in a 50.

Didn't see the flash but am not sure as I was concentrating on avoiding a lorry

Not sure how much my speedo over reads by at that speed - What are my chances of not getting a ticket - Not sure of the process as I never read the speeding threads on here??

depnds on how much under the 60 you were and which part of the country you're in some will do you for 1 over the limit others still give you the 10%.
be lucky and hope the latter!!!! just be extra cautious in future

No flash no ticket. At 60mph you were probably doing around 55.. depends on what the camera was set at and if it was indeed a real or dummy gatso!

When i got caught the official stance was you get 10% plus 1mph over.

I was caught doing 35 in a 30 s was 1 mph over the allowed tolerance. Although i did a 'drive safe coourse' and avoided the points and fine and record. 30mph limit on a dual carriageway that went from national to 50 to 40 to 30, just assumed i was in a 40 didnt see the signs.

Anyway, you should get away with 56mph if this is te case and with the overread of your speedo coupled with the fact that most cameras dont have film in, you might be ok

ACPO guidelines = +10% + 2mph = 57mph; speedo overreads up to 10%, indicated 58mph = true 53mph, well in
